The Marine

Located on top of the cliffs at Hermanus, The Marine has one of the southern hemisphere's most spectacular seascapes. The hotel's views extend across Walker Bay or over the beautiful internal courtyard, manicured gardens and the Overberg Mountains.

The Marine has 42 individually decorated bedrooms and suites, each with its own private facilities. All feature an en suite bathroom, under-floor heating and air conditioning. Double Rooms have exceptional decor and have a partial sea view or mountain view. A selection of these rooms include a balcony. Six of the Luxury Double Rooms have sea views whilst one opens onto a mountain facing balcony/patio which overlooks the pool and the other has a side sea view on the west wing.

The luxurious Suites and Premier Suites are spacious and stylish; some are split-level and others offer balconies. The biggest of these suites features a large Georgian style bay window, and is on two levels, which includes a spacious seating area downstairs with picture windows overlooking Walker Bay.

The Marine overlooks South Africa's most pristine whale sanctuary, and is just a stone's throw from one of the greatest densities of the endangered Great White Shark. The hotel offers guests the unique opportunity to experience the finest land-based whale watching in the world. From June to September guests are able to view these creatures from the comfort of the hotel.
