Limpopo Province

South Africa’s northernmost province, Limpopo, borders onto Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The area is rich in wildlife, has spectacular scenery and a wealth of historical and cultural treasures.

The northern section of the Kruger National Park, which is located in Limpopo, is renowned for its large herds of elephant and buffalo, significant numbers of tsessebe and sable, and a rich bird life.

Limpopo is well known for its amazing Baobab Trees - one of the trees in Africa with the longest lifespan. Some of those you can see in Limpopo are over 3,000 years old and the average age of the ones found in the northern parts of Limpopo are between 300 and 500 years old.
