Forest Lodge

Phinda Forest Lodge is set in rare sand forest with glass walls offering a sweeping view of one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet.

Accommodation is in 16 air-conditioned glass suites which are built on stilts and appear to float between the rare sand forest floor and the towering torchwood trees. The suites are situated to ensure absolute privacy and each has air conditioning/heating, room fans, in-room safe and hairdryer. Bathrooms feature twin hand basins, bath, separate shower and separate WC. All suites have a personal bar on their private veranda.

Activities include twice-daily game drives in open safari vehicles, nature walks and excellent birding. Riverboat cruises and canoeing along the Mzinene River are also available. Phinda is a Big Five destination with excellent cheetah, white and black rhino, elephant, nyala and lion viewing, as well as diverse bird watching with approximately 400 different species. Optional activities, at additional cost, include breathtaking coastal flights, beach excursions including snorkelling and scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, turtle viewing, horse riding and cultural visits.
