Tamakwa Country Lodge

Tamakwa Country Lodge is situated just outside the village of Rosetta in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands.

Tamakwa offers a choice of luxury bed and breakfast or self-catering accommodation. All units are individually decorated and have fireplaces, electric blankets, TV, and in certain units, under-floor heating. Rooms are serviced daily and have many special touches such as fresh flowers and complimentary sherry. There is also a romantic thatched Honeymoon Cottage, which has an elegant 4 poster bed, shower and toilet en suite, log fireplace and a private patio area set in a picturesque garden.

The area surrounding Tamakwa Country Lodge is well known for its natural beauty and diversity. As well as the well known arts and crafts routes on the Midlands Meander, there is also a great selection of activities to appeal to all tastes. At the lodge, guests can enjoy fly fishing on the Mooi River, bird watching, or a scenic river walk along the banks of the Mooi River. Kamberg Nature Reserve is only a 25-minute drive away and the amazing San Rock Art caves are open to the public with guides available to take visitors up the mountain to see them.
