Shamwari Game Reserve
Shamwari Game Reserve is an award-winning 25,000 hectare reserve situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape region. The reserve has five eco-systems supporting many forms of plant, bird and animal life, including the famed Big 5.
The reserve has a dedicated Wildlife Department (including qualified wildlife veterinarians, ecologist and environmentalist) with a breeding centre, a rehabilitation centre, an animal hospital, an education centre and an anti-poaching unit which has received the Global Nature Fund Award for Best Conservation Practice.
Luxury accommodation is offered in 7 different lodges at Shamwari Game Reserve, all of which are 5 Star graded. This is a premier Big 5 safari which is private and exclusive to Shamwari guests only.
