Water Lodge

Pumba Water Lodge has 12 stone-walled, waterfront cottages. Leading off meandering timber footpaths, the cottages open up onto private game-viewing decks with outside showers and plunge pools. The bedrooms and bathrooms offer under-floor heating, free-standing bathtubs, double basins, bathrobes and luxury amenities. The cottages are all air conditioned and feature earthenware fireplaces.

The lodge has a thatched restaurant, from where meals can be served in a variety of locations such as the central dining room or the main decks. Private candlelit dinners can be arranged on request. Outside there is a pool and sun deck, game viewing deck and waterfront floating pier and sundeck.

Game drives take place in luxury game-viewing vehicles with individual bucket seats and overhead canvas covers. Blankets, scarves and beanies are provided on game drives, as well as light snacks, beverages and binoculars. Qualified game rangers take guests out into the 6,000 hectare game reserve comprising valley bushveld, grassland and mountains, as well as natural watering holes in search of the Big Five and 22 other species of game as well as over 270 species of birds.
