Jack’s Camp
Jack's Camp is located in the Kalahari and Makgadigadi National Park where guests can learn about evolution and the origins of the Okavango Delta. Jack's Camp is one of the only permanent camps in the area that offers a chance to investigate and understand the Kalahari. This desert experience focuses on species such as gemsbok, brown hyena and springbok. In addition, guests can enjoy learning more about the geology, archaeology and anthropology of the Kalahari and Makgadikgadi. Many of the guides at both camps are fully qualified Zoologists/Geologists, often working on PhD research. The style of this luxury tented camp reflect an authentic, classic safari - but with its own very special and individual stamp.
Edo’s Camp
Edo's Camp is located in a 120,000 hectare game conservancy in the western Kalahari Desert. This private sanctuary is home to six of Botswana's endangered white rhino population, as well as numerous species of plants, birds and mammals, many unique to the region. Also resident are the indigenous people of southern Africa, the San, who provide a fascinating cultural perspective of traditional life. This remote camp overlooks an active waterhole and accommodates guests in four two-bedded luxury tents set on decks and under thatch. Each tent is en-suite with shower, flush toilet and bath for additional comfort. Daily game drives, together with a personal guide in specially designed vehicles, provide guests the chance of viewing many species of mammal only found in this desert environment. Other activities include walks with San bushman tracking white rhino on foot as well as joining the women and children of the village in gathering edible roots and plants.

Wilderness Safaris Explorations
The Parched Kalahari Exploration is a nostalgic camping safari that recreates a sense of wildlife viewing adventure reminiscent of the times of the early African explorers. The style and essence of Wilderness Safaris' Adventurer Safaris takes you back to the bygone days of Africa's exploration. The 3m x3m dome tents (at Nxai Pan), complete with mini-verandas, allow you to feel more connected to nature, accentuating the feeling of the wild and untamed. Pure cotton linen bedrolls (with duvets) on GI stretchers, bedside table with silver lantern and mini luggage benches add to the atmosphere. Shared separate toilet and shower 'bathrooms' with old-style tin bucket showers and basins create simple serviced comfort. Adventurer camping aims to bring guests closer to nature by means of lively campfires, hurricane lanterns, diverse activities and a warm atmosphere permeating the camp (and its simple comforts). |
